Making patterns
New term and new learning. The students at Tamaki Primary are learning how to make patterns and complete patterns this term for maths. To start the term we did a rotation of different activities to see what we were able to do. We did some activities on the smart-
board, finished the pattern on laminated mats using play dough and did some pattern making games too. Watch over the term to see what other fun learning we do to learn about patterns!

Building a Sky Tower
We have been learning about important places in Auckland. After our trip to Auckland City last Wednesday we used different boxes and containers to build a tall tower. We enjoyed knocking it down too. Look at the tall buildings we made.

Making Maths Fun!
In our classroom we love to play games, use our hands and move around the classroom. It doesn't feel like were doing maths because we are having so much fun. Todia is building a tall tower by counting to 20, Ricky is adding two numbers together by putting pom poms in the cups and Conrad is learning ordinal numbers by playing a car racing game. Learning is fun at Tamaki Primary Satellite!
