Te Oro Art Festival

This term we have been learning about keeping our water clean. Ricky went to Te Oro today to represent Sommerville school and talk about our classroom and what we have learn this term. Well done Ricky for sharing our learning.

Reflection and Mirror Images

This term we have been learning about reflection for our Maths topic. We wrote our names on a whiteboard to see its reflection in the mirror. We can see that is backwards. Ricky wrote "Tamaki Primary" using words from our word wall and said that the words "looked funny" in the mirror.

Cleaning up our enviornment

This term we have been learning about cleaning up our environment. We have been picking up rubbish from around our school and learning about sorting the rubbish into paper, plastic, food scraps and aluminium. Last week we went to visit Point England Reserve which is our local beach. We found lots of rubbish at the beach and put it in our buckets. We found lots of different items like socks, goggles, glass, bottles and plastic. We all know how to find items at the beach that do NOT belong. Well done boys!
