BOO! Tamaki Primary went to Sommerville School today for Halloween celebrations. We had face painting, art activities, pin the face on the jack o lantern, spooky sensory play, the haunted sensory room and trick or treating around the base classes. We had so much fun. Look at our scary costumes!
Welcome to our blog. We are Satellite students from Sommerville Special school based at Tamaki Primary school. We are a busy class of 5 boys and our teacher is Lauren Morfett. We love sharing our learning and adventures with you.

Fractions at Tamaki Primary
This term our maths topic is fractions. We practiced sharing play-dough pizza between two people by cutting it in half. We know that a half is two equal portions. We all love working on the whiteboard to complete maths activities.

Dance with Sarah
We have been working hard this term on our dance moves with Sarah. We have made our own dance with different sports from the Olympics.
On our last dance session for the year we got to dance with ribbons. We really enjoy making circles, zig zags and patterns. Look at us go!

Swimming Sucess
Today we went swimming with Helen our swimming instructor. She has begun taking each student for 1:1 sessions in the big swimming pool. Haylen has been reluctant to put his head in the water and is now confident enough to submerge his head under the water. Today he went under the water , floated with a pool noodle and explored the water sprinklers for the first time. We are so proud of your success Haylen!
